Through this web site we would like to give all Hobohms an opportunity to participate in an attempt to use the new technology of the internet to bring about a "virtual" family reunion. Its success will, of course, depend greatly on your active participation and cooperation. We think that as a first step, it would be nice if all Hobohms who visit this site were to sign the guestbook.
In addition, we would be very pleased to receive reports, family trees, photographs and other information about the origins of your particular branches of the family, that we could post on this site under pages bearing your own names. For examples of such pages, please see those set up by Omar Hobohm and Harald Hobohm. For the time being we only plan to post such separate individual pages for the various Hobohms who get in touch with us. At a later stage, when we have received enough information, we might also try to discover links between the various branches of the family.
In order to make this website truly interactive, we have developed a form for you to enter your genealogical data directly. We are, however, in the process of creating a new, more user-friendly way of transferring genealogical data. We will, in any case, translate such data into a standardised table of ancestors and publish them in a "family page" under your name. Of course we would also be grateful for any additional relevant information, which you could send us by e-mail. If you use genealogical software, ie. family tree maker, you could also just send us your genealogical file.
Although we regard the site concept, graphics, and structure as our intellectual property, we do not make any claims to any content based on other people's research. The origin of contributed content will always be cited.
